The voices in my head
By Chukwudi Treasure
When the noise is loud,
I still.
And when it's louder,
I drown.
I drown in the noise,
Echoed suffocation of void and empty...
Just loud.
Eating every fiber of my existence,
And leaving only echoes of blurried words.
Again, I'm drowning.
I drown as I live.
It can't stop... It won't.
This is a fragment of who I am.
Suffocating. Void.
Empty and loud.
