When helping another writer, offer possibilities rather than commands.
Try:
“What if…”
“Could it work if…”
“One possibility might be…”
“I wonder whether…”
Instead of:
“You need to…”
“Your character should…”
“The only way this works is…”
The goal is to open doors for the writer, not drag their manuscript through one.
