You kept reaching for a fading spark,
a lantern dim in quiet dark.
When storms pressed close and shadows grew,
The sun never stepped one inch towards it..
When failures whispered at the door, the brightness wasn’t there to lift u more
Your shaken hands, your restless mind..The light never paused to turn or find.
In empty days,It watched from far, in careless haze.
Not once a word to guide your way,
not once a voice to help you stay.
Respect so light it barely moved,
a silent debt who never proved.
Yet something small, some fleeting smile,
held you wandering for a while.
Hearts are strange in how they fall
they chase the echo, not the call.
They cling to moments thin as air,
mistaking warmth that wasn’t there.
So tell me now, in truth or dream
what made you chase a distant gleam?
Who's always drawn to surface light,
and miss the ones who burn more bright.
