Translation of one of my poems
By A.L.C · Romanian and Engllish
I posted 1 poem in 2 languages. The poem is an acrostic that was originally wrote in Romanian, by me for someone and then I tried to translate it in English but with the preservation of the acrostic. What do you think?
This one is the original in Romanian:
Recviem
This one is my translation in English to preserve the acrostic:
Requiem
Remaining locked within this dark abyss,
Awaiting for an angel not to weep.
My mirror shows a dream of fleeting bliss,
Only a hope too fragile now to keep.
Never would I stay — yet fate wrote this,
And now the gathering tears run deep…
The silence falls, a long shade across the sun,
End of a road too clearly foretold.
Onward I wander blind, as hope comes undone.
