Your Untouchable Touch
You remind me of spring.
I said this to you often but,
This time you finally asked what I meant.
Every year,
Autumn begins with the shedding of summers leaves,
letting winter lay herself fully bare for spring to judge,
But he will always choose to cover her back up.
Because how could he ever love the snow after being with the sun?
That is what I told you.
You paused,
Not knowing how to respond before saying,
I remind you of the Earth.
I asked what you meant by that.
Every day,
You began,
The moon asks Earth to dance,
Forever offering the gift of his starlit heaven,
But she will continue to deny his waltz.
Because how could she choose the night after feeling the day?
That is what you told me.
I think about that conversation a lot,
And I no longer believe I was winter nor you the moon.
We were far more like the shore and sea.
Fully devoted to the others embrace,
Only to be pulled apart by half day,
I by the moon,
You by the Earth.
That is what I should have told you.
Score: 73.71 out of 100.
