Quick answer: Choose one, two or five stories, fill in your details, paste your story or upload a PDF, DOC, DOCX or TXT file, and pay the entry fee. One story costs $8, two $14 and five $25 internationally, or ₹199, ₹349 and ₹699 in India. Original stories of 100 to 3,000 words, any genre and any language, are accepted. The first contest runs from 1 September 2026 to 25 November 2026 at 11:59 PM IST, with results and certificates on 30 November 2026. How long should my story be?
Between 100 and 3,000 words, in any language and genre. Flash fiction is judged as flash: under 500 words, structure is read as shape and ending, never as missing plot.
Is there a free entry?
This is a paid contest, with standard entry from ₹199 in India or $8 internationally. Eligible winners and Seasoned Quill writers can use their available free-entry reward at checkout.
How are stories judged?
Stories are scored blind against the published five-part rubric. Entrants see the five dimension scores out of 100. Names are excluded from the judging text.
