Do you accept poems written in Bangla script?
Yes. Bangla entries are read and marked exactly as English entries are, and the same holds for Chakma, Urdu or any other language you write in. Nothing has to be translated first, and there is no penalty for writing in your mother tongue.
Who decides the result, and on what basis?
Marking follows five fixed headings, emotion, theme, structure, language and creativity, applied to every poem in the pool. Your own marks are written into your Writory profile when results are released, so the reasoning is not kept from you.
What will it cost me to send a poem from Bangladesh?
Payment is taken in US dollars. One poem is priced at $5, a pair at $8, and a set of five at $15. Poets who win are exempted from the fee the next month, and three unbroken months of entries also produce a free submission.
By what date will I know the outcome?
