“Little Girl’s Forest”
by Rohit Ekka
Oh, Forest Dear.
I do wonder.
My Mother of My Father,
Oh, gentle Sister of my brother.
Junglee, they call you,
Yet you are not a Junglee,
Trees and trees you make up.
Without the colours of a cup.
I jumped on your belly,
I stepped on your knees,
Yet not a slap....
You clapped and clapped.
In the breeze of trees.
Lovely forest, let me not plant trees.
Lovely forest, let me plant forest.
