'A Conversation'
by Sk Maaz Akbar
Minutes Go By,
even Hours Pass,
Afraid of the nigh',
I am blinded by the Dark.
Ocean Waves Crash,
Pine trees grow,
As i Carry the sorrow,
None would like to know.
An Open Blue Sky Screams,
A calm trade wind Wails,
Somewhere one man dreams,
Another just can't start.
The world holds suffering,
The air can bring blight,
Bare, you stand a butterfly,
In the hurricane of this night.
The house is silent,
Yet the air is heavy,
Walls made of nylon,
With no exit to be seen.
Someone loses faith,
Someone begins to bleed,
Someone chooses to believe,
And someone starts as a seed.
Somewhere Your Breath Hitched,
Why do you choose to believe,
Your hopes are loosely stitched,
You don't belong here.
The night tears apart,
The skies tear at the seams,
Only you are too blind,
Blinded by Bright Beams.
P.S This poem should be read in two perspectives, the first and third paragraph being by a person experiencing pain and, the second and fourth paragraphs, by the logical 'observer' that this per person has within themselves. Read Carl Jung's concept of Intellectualization Of Emotion for More context.
